To mark Ramadan we used light to create a silhouette of a mosque, children were able to explore di erent sensory bases with their hands or tools to discover the starlit sky scene that was underneath. Children also loved tracking stars and moons using a projector within the rooms. We then transferred this into a hands-on learning experience where children searched for shiny materials in scented rice. Children also used texts to inform their play experiences, leading to them creating role-play scenarios with peg dolls in the sand. This selection of multi-sensory experiences led to the children learning about Ramadan and Eid through hands on discovery where they were keen to ask questions and learn more.
