About us

Our Day Nursery- Beddington Park, Wallington

Our Day Nursery is set in the heart of beautiful Beddington Park, surrounded by greenery and wildlife, offering a calm and tranquil environment. Our nursery was designed to be different — a natural, nurturing space that contrasts with traditional educational settings and embraces the Curiosity Approach.

The building, formerly a wildlife hospital, provides unique features we’ve transformed into inspiring learning spaces. Inside, the layout creates a homely, free-flowing environment with four rooms close together to foster community, connection, and a sense of belonging.

We have extensive outdoor areas within our secure perimeter and surrounding parkland, designed for exploration and creativity. Children can dig, plant, explore water, interact with chickens and ducks, and enjoy spaces such as a large covered sand area, climbing and den areas, natural construction zones, water walls, and an outdoor art barn. These environments support curiosity, problem-solving, imaginative play, and holistic development.

Indoors, we prioritise natural, calm spaces with open-ended resources, wooden toys, and natural fabrics. Our team reflects regularly to ensure the environment benefits all children, including those with additional needs.

Our curriculum combines the Early Years Foundation Stage with holistic learning inspired by Reggio Emilia, promoting physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development through both structured and child-led experiences. Mindful practices support confidence, resilience, and self-regulation.

We welcome all children and work closely with parents and the SEND team at Sutton to provide tailored support. Our team includes practitioners experienced in SEN and child-centered, curiosity-driven approaches, creating a reflective, collaborative environment.

We are committed to deepening our knowledge of the Curiosity Approach, reflecting as a team, and providing a stimulating, nurturing, and holistic setting where every child can flourish.
