Recruiting dedicated and professional team members who share our ethos is fundamental to Our Day Nursery, which is why we’re clear of our expectations from the outset. These qualities are included with each opportunity listed so we can provide the very best for the children in our care. All team members will hold or be enrolled on paediatric first aid, safeguarding, prevention, FGM and food hygiene/allergen awareness qualifications. Rosie

Rosie Williams

Founder & Director
In addition to her role as Founder and Director, Rosie will oversee the day-to-day management of the team members and nursery setting. She is the designated Safeguarding Officer within the setting. More details of Rosie’s experience and qualifications can be found on our About Us page.
James

James Brackenborough

Founder & Director
James has over nineteen years of experience in the leisure sector, thirteen of which have been spent in senior management roles. His knowledge of budgetary, operational and project management teamed with maintaining stakeholder and customer relations means he can apply these key skills to Our Day Nursery. In addition, he is responsible for consulting on compliance, mitigating risk, policy design, strategic leadership and mentoring team members. Both Rosie and James will continuously encourage team members to execute the company ethos and four key values throughout the setting and in their daily routines.

Nursery Manager

Rosie Williams

Assistant Nursery Manager

The Assistant Nursery Manager has a Level 3 in Childcare and will be enrolled in a Level 3 Team Leading qualification if not already qualified.

Room Lead

Our Room Leads hold a Level 3 in Childcare and, if not already qualified, will be enrolled on a Level 2 Team Leading qualification.

Early Years Practitioners

Our Early Years Practitioners hold a Level 3 in Childcare.

Early Years Assistants

Our Early Years Assistants supports the practitioners and holds experience in the childcare sector or through having their own families. Our Early Years Assistants have the opportunity to enrol on a Level 2 Childcare qualification and are provided with a clear development pathway.

Early Years Teacher

Our Early Years Teacher ensures that children are academically prepared for primary school.

Early Years SEND Co-Ordinator

When early intervention is identified, or we are notified that a child has additional needs, we will actively seek further support from our SEND team at Sutton local authority where we will  develop a plan with them and the parents/carers to support the child/ren. Our facility is all on the ground floor and so is fully accessible.

Our Day Nursery fully supports our team's professional development and uses Parenta as our training programme provider.

All team members are employed by us and go through the same rigorous interview stages. DBS checks and references are required before staff start working with us.

The children are cared for in groups within their own age-appropriate rooms. Our Day Nursery follows the OFSTED and government recommended staff-to-child ratios. These are as follows:

  • 0-2

    0-2

    1 member of staff to every 3 children

  • 2-3

    2-3 Years

    1 member of staff to every 4 children

  • 3-5

    3-5 Years

    1 member of staff to every 8 children

All staff work within the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
